Safety and Liability

At Commando Action Centre, your safety is our number one priority. Each Field Marshal is CPR and First Aid certified and carry a first aid kit with them on the field.

In addition, we have an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) onsite in the event of any coronary emergencies.

The safety mask provided to play and walk on the fields must be worn at all times past the warning signs.

While no experience is necessary, you should be in good health or consult your healthcare provider if you are unsure about doing vigorous physical exercise. The minimum age is 10 and players 10 and 11 must have a parent/guardian playing with them on the field.

Although we take all necessary precautions to ensure a safe experience, we can assume no responsibility for your safety or loss of personal equipment. In paintball, an element of risk is inherent and some beyond human control. A signed Waiver and Release form is required of all participants and a parent/guardian release for minors (under 18).

We are open 7 days a week by reservation only.

On weekends or statutory holidays, there is no minimum for a reservation. Reservations are always recommended and can be made by calling 613 835-1729 or by e-mailing us at info@commandopaintball.ca. If you walk in without a reservation, there is a risk you will not be able to play or we cannot control who you are playing with.

In order to make a reservation, we require the name of the organizer, a phone number and the number of players. When closer to the date of the booking, we require a valid credit card number. We do not use the card and everyone pays separately at the field on the date of the game, however, the organizer has 48 hours to cancel the whole group. The organizer is not responsible for no-shows. If no one calls to cancel the group and no one shows up from the group, we charge the card a $20 per player penalty. If you do not have a credit card, we require a $20 deposit per player in advance to hold the reservation.

With the exception of walk-on days, which open at 10:00 a.m., we are very group driven, so we do not have set open and close times. We open when the first group is booked in and close when the groups are done or when it gets dark, whatever comes first. If you are walking in during peak season, we recommend you do not come out any later than 2:00 p.m. as a start time, as we cannot run with less than 10 players.

This means you are not subject to mingling and your group will be moved around from field to field and there will be no outside players allowed in your group. If a group wants to be private, there is a privacy fee of $150 to be paid in advance

Each and every player is assigned to a field marshall who provides a safety briefing, training session and escorts the group from field to field while they are playing.

Supportive shoes. Since we play at Commando Paintball in all weather conditions, we advise putting on sturdy ankle-supporting footwear. Just keep in mind that with all the activity, they might get dirty.

Shoes and grip are vital. Most athletes wear sneakers or hiking boots. You should wear footwear that you don’t mind getting muddy or wet. For both comfort and safety, make sure the shoes you select have a closed toe.

Note: You need to bring your own shoes to use while playing the game. It is advised to bring clean shoes for the trip home.

We provide coveralls, however Commando Paintball is situated in a wooded area and prone to wet conditions, so we also suggest you bring the following:

  • Good footwear and an extra pair of shoes
  • Loose fitting, comfortable clothing
  • Thin gloves
  • A baseball cap, bandana or hockey neck guard to protect your head and neck
  • We highly recommend bug spray and sunscreen.

A paintball shot should not hurt. If players do not respect the rules of the game and do not keep a reasonable distance, it could sting when you are hit. We have a strict surrender rule that must be followed and will be explained during the safety briefing.

At Commando Paintball, we ensure our equipment does not surpass the field limit and we only use top quality paintballs.

No. Only our paintballs can be used. We have a very large facility and maintaining it is very costly. Also, and less important to you cost-conscious folks, we have very large bodies of water and various species of wildlife and outside paintballs could contaminate our water and poison our animals.

Yes. Personal markers have to be tested to ensure they meet the field speed of 280 fps. We also offer free air fills.

Certainly. If you are not playing, you can grab a mask and watch from the safety of the netted areas on the fields.

We close at the end of November and open again the first weekend in March.

We go rain or shine.

Yes. We do not have a restaurant on-site, so we allow outside food or non-alcoholic beverages on the property. We have lovely spots by the water that are ideal for picnics.

The timing depends on how many paintballs you purchase, for example, 150 paintballs will last about an hour. 300 paintballs, about 2 hours (the average) and 500 paintballs is approximately 3 hours. We don’t time the group. You play as long as you have paintballs or it gets dark and if you run out, you can always buy more.

Of course, dogs are welcome; however, please ensure they are on a leash.

We offer a lower impact paintball for the same pricing. 50 caliber paintballs and lower pressure markers.
